Fishing Reports

Welcome to Jackson's Guide Service Fishing Reports. Check back here to find out what's biting on Enid Lake. We will update the page during the fishing season.

8-16-08 - Water level is at 250.4 at this time and the Corp has started it winter draw down. Fishing is real good now pulling Bandits or pushing minnows. Most of the fish are coming from about 18 - 38 ft. of water, on both side of the lake. Out from Long Branch is still a real good place. You see a lot of pontoon boats that are going back and forth across the lake at Chickasaw Hills. I have been doing real good from Chickasaw Hills back to the dam in about 18-24 ft of water pulling Bandits in Mad Cow, Pink and White with Chartreuse back. You will catch a lot of 12-13.5 fish but if you go in and out you can catch a limit. Last week I went I had 3 guides trips and caught a limit in about 4 hrs. and they were some nice slabs. These fish were caught out side of Wallace Creek on the edge of the river channel in 28- 36 ft.of water.
If you want a crappie trip on Enid Lake give me a call or e-mail me.

March 31, 2008----Water level at Enid Lake is on 241.9 with a .3 rise after the rain over the week-end. We are to get more rain in the next couple days so look for it to come up at little more. Water is stained and temp is 57.5 - 60.3 Wind has been the killer this spring coming out of the north and south southeast at 10-25 mph.there is nowhere you can get out of that much wind in this low water. To catch fish on the south end go to Wallace Creek and fish the tops and drop offs across from the ramp, use a 1/8 Jiggy Wit It jig in Orange- Black- Chartreuse or a Chartreuse-Lime-White. If you fish in the upper end the fish at Billy's Creek will bite one day and the next you can't get a hit so just try your luck. In both places you catch a lot of throw backs in the 11 1/2 inches. If you want a day on the lake to
catch a fish of a life time call or drop me a e-mail.

2/15/08-- Enid Lake is at 233.3
Not much going on with the crappie yet but if we can get a few warmer days you will see people wadding and in one man boats seeing if they can run up on a few early males. The only ramp that you can put a big boat in is going to be at dam. Check back in a few days and I will have a update and maybe a picture or to.
